PENERAPAN PBL BERBANTUAN MEDIA KONKRET DAPAT MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI DAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN MATEMATIKA SISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi dan (2) meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika melalui penerapan problem based learning berbantuan media konkret. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 10 Sumerta, sebanyak 26 siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode (1) nontes digunakan untuk memperoleh data motivasi berprestasi dengan instrumentnya berupa kuesioner. (2) tes digunakan untuk memperoleh data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika, tes yang digunakan berupa uraian. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan motivasi berprestasi pada siklus I, persentase rata-rata motivasi berprestasi hanya mencapai 74,61% dan berada pada kriteria sedang. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan motivasi berprestasi mencapai 84,69% dan berada pada kriteria tinggi. Untuk penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika. Pada siklus I, rata-rata persentase pada penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika hanya mencapai 76,30% dan berada pada kriteria sedang, pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan pada penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika mencapai 84,15% dan berada pada kriteria tinggi. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan telah terjadi peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika dari siklus I ke siklus II. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan problem based learning berbantuan media konkret dapat meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 10 Sumerta.Kata Kunci : problem based learning, media konkret, motivasi berprestasi, penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika
This study aims (1) to improve achievement motivation and (2) to improve mastering of mathematic knowledge competency through implemenation of problem based learning helped by concrete media. Subject of this study was the student grade IV of SD Negeri 10 Sumerta, there were 26 students. Data collection in this study was conducted with method (1) non-test applied to get data of achievement motivation with its instrument in the form of questionery, (2) test applied to get data of mastering mathematic knowledge competency, test appilend in the form of essay test. Data got from non-test and test method then analyzed by descriptive statistic and quantitative descriptive analysis. The result shows there is improvement of achivement motivation ability at first cycle, procentage of mean of achivement motivation just only reach 74,6% and at moderate category and at second cycle there is improvement of achievement motivation has reach 84,69% and at high criteria. For mastering of mathematic knowledge competency at first cycle, procentage of mean of mastering of mathematic knowledge competency just only reach 76,30% and at moderatecategory and at second cycle there is improvement of mastering of mathematic knowledge competency 84,15% and at high criteria.Thus it can be told has been occured improvement on mastering of mathematic knowledge competency from first cycle to second cycle. It can be concluded that implementation of problem bsaed learning helped by concrete media can improve achivement motivation and mastering of mathematic knowledge competency at the student grade IV of SD Negeri 10 Sumerta.
