PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAPAT MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR DAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN PKn

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan aktivitas belajar melalui penerapan model problem based learning kelas IVB SDN 22 Dauh Puri Denpasar Utara tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dan (2) meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn melalui penerapan model problem based learning kelas IVB SDN 22 Dauh Puri Denpasar Utara tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVB SDN 22 Dauh Puri sebanyak 36 siswa yang terdiri dari 19 siswa laki-laki dan 17 siswa perempuan. Data tentang aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi dan metode tes. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1)terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar dari persentase rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 68,6% yang tergolong sedang pada siklus I, meningkat menjadi 80% yang tergolong tinggi pada siklus II; dan (2) terjadi peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn yakni persentase rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn pada siklus I sebesar 71,02% yang berada pada kategori sedang dengan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal 47,22% atau sebanyak 17 siswa yang tuntas dari jumlah siswa yaitu 36 siswa. Sedangkan pada siklus II rata-rata persentase penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn sebesar 83% yang berada pada kategori tinggi dengan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal 94,44% atau sebanyak 34 siswa yang tuntas dari jumlah siswa yaitu 36 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model problem based learning dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn siswa kelas IVB SDN 22 Dauh Puri Denpasar Utara tahun ajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : problem based learning, akivitas belajar, kompetensi PKn
The purposes of this classroom action research are: (1) to improve the learning activity through the application of problem based learning of the IVB grade students of SDN 22 Dauh Puri North Denpasar in academic year 2015/2016 (2) to improve the mastery of competence Civics knowledge through the application of problem based learning of the IVB grade students of SDN 22 Dauh Puri North Denpasar in academic year 2015/2016. Subjects in this study were IVB grade students of SDN 22 IVB Dauh Puri and the total of the subjects were 36 subjects which consisted of 19 females and 17 males. In collecting the data of learning activity and mastery of competence Civics knowledge were observation method and test method. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical and quantitative descriptive method. The results of this study showed that: (1) improvement in learning activity from the average percentage of student activity at 68,6% were classified as being in the first cycle, improved to 80% which was high on the second cycle; and (2) improvement mastery of competence Civics knowledge that the average percentage of mastery of competence Civics knowledge in the first cycle 71.02% were in middle category with classical learning completeness 47,22% or 17 subjects who achieved the minimum passing grade from 36 subjects. While on the second cycle the average percentage of mastery of competence Civics knowledge 83% were at high category with classical learning completeness 94.44% or 34 subjects who achieved the minimum passing grade from 36 subjects. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the problem based learning can improve the learning activity and mastery of competence Civics knowledge of the IVB grade students of SDN 22 Dauh Puri North Denpasar in academic year 2015/2016.
