PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBASIS PROJECT BASED LEARNING DAPAT MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) meningkatkan keaktifan belajar IPA tema cita-citaku siswa kelas IV SDN 21 Dauh Puri melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis project based learning; dan (2) meningkatkan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA tema cita-citaku siswa kelas IV SDN 21 Dauh Puri melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis project based learning. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 21 Dauh Puri yang berjumlah 35 siswa yang terdiri dari 25 siswa laki-laki dan 10 siswa perempuan. Data keaktifan belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi sedangkan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode tes yaitu tes objektif pilihan ganda biasa. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) persentase rata-rata keaktifan belajar IPA siswa pada pra siklus 55,35%, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 73,28%, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 84,85%; (2) kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa pada prasiklus diketahui persentase rata-rata 65,28% dengan ketuntasan klasikal 42.85%, pada siklus I persentase rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 75,28% dengan ketuntasan klasikal 74,28%, dan pada siklus II persentase rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 84,81% dengan ketuntasan klasikal 85,71%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis project based learning dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas IV SDN 21 Dauh Puri.

The purposes of this research are : (1) to improve learning activity of natural science knowledge with theme Cita-citaku for student of SDN 21 Dauh Puri grade IV by applying based scientific approach project based learning ; and (2) to improve competence of natural science knowledge with theme Cita-citaku to student of SDN 21 Dauh Puri grade IV by applying based scientific approach project based learning. The subject of this research is the student of SDN 21 Dauh Puri grade IV which amounted to 35 persons of 25 male students and 10 female students. The learning activity data of the student is collected by using observation sheet meanwhile the competence natural science knowledge is collected by using test of normal multiple choice tests. The collected data then analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. This type of research is classroom action research which is carried out in to two cycles. Every cycle consist of planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The result showed: (1) In pre cycle the average percentage of student’s learning activity of natural science knowledge is 55,35%, the first cycle increased 73,28%, and the second cycle increased to 84,85%; (2) In pre cycle percentage knowledge of competencies for natural science is 65,28% and classical completeness 42,85%, in the first cycle the average percentage of students increased to 75,28% with classical completeness 74,28% and on the second cycle the average percentage of students increased to 84,81% with classical completeness 85,71%. Therefore can be concluded that implementation of based scientific approach project based learning can improve the activity and competency natural science knowledge of student SDN 21 Dauh Puri grade IV.
