PENERAPAN MODEL WORD SQUARE BERBANTUAN MIND MAPPING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS IV SD

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar IPA siswa kelas IV di SDN 3 Banyuasri Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 setelah penerapan model pembelajaran word square berbantuan mind mapping dan (2) untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV di SDN 3 Banyuasri Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 setelah penerapan model pembelajaran word square berbantuan mind mapping. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Banyuasri yang berjumlah 18 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dan metode tes. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) persentase rata-rata aktivitas belajar IPA siswa secara klasikal mengalami peningkatan yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 71,33% menjadi 83,75% pada siklus II. (2) Persentase rata-rata hasil belajar IPA siswa secara klasikal mengalami peningkatan yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 73,9% menjadi 84,7% pada siklus II. (3) Ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar IPA siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 61,11% menjadi 88,89% pada siklus II. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran word square berbantuan mind mapping dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV di SDN 3 Banyuasri Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016.

The aims of this classroom action research (CAR) are (1) to determine the improvement of science learning activities of fourth grade students at SDN 3 Banyuasri in the academic year of 2015/2016 after word square learning model which assisted by mind mapping was application and (2) to determine the improvement of science learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 3 Banyuasri in the academic year of 2015/2016 after word square learning model which assisted by mind mapping was application. The subjects of this research were the fourth grade of SDN 3 Banyuasri which amount were 18 persons. Data collection methods used in this research was observation method and tests method. The data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this research were (1) the average percentage of student’s activities in learning science classically was increased that in the cycle I was 71,33% become 83,75% in the cycle II. (2) The average percentage of student’s science learning outcomes classically was increased that in the cycle I was 73,9% become 84,7% in the cycle II. (3) Classical completeness of student’s science learning outcomes also increased that the cycle I was 61,11% become 88,89% in the cycle II. It showed that the application of word square learning model which assisted by mind mapping can increased the student’s activities and outcomes in learning science of fourth grade students at SDN 3 Banyuasri in academic year of 2015/2016.
