PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBASIS INKUIRI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan aktivitas belajar melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis inkuiri di kelas IVA SD Negeri 3 Sesetan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 dan (2) meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis inkuiri di kelas IVA SD Negeri 3 Sesetan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVA SD Negeri 3 Sesetan yang berjumlah 40 orang terdiri dari 22 siswa perempuan dan 18 siswa laki-laki. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dan metode tes. Instrumen pengumpulan data aktivitas belajar yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan intrumen pengumpulan data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS yang digunakan adalah tes objektif pilihan ganda biasa. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) nilai rata-rata aktivitas belajar meningkat 12,15 dari X ̅ = 70,3 pada siklus I, menjadi X ̅ = 82,45 pada siklus II, (2) nilai rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS meningkat 11,4 dari X ̅ = 69,7 pada siklus I, menjadi X ̅ = 81,1 pada siklus II, (3) ketuntasan klasikal penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS meningkat 40% dari 42,5% pada siklus I, menjadi 82,5% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis inkuiri dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS tema cita-citaku di kelas IVA SD Negeri 3 Sesetan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.

This classroom action research aims to (1) increase the activity of students through the implementation of scientific based approach to inquiry in IVA grade students on SDN 3 Sesetan, Academic year 2015/2016 (2) improve the competencies of IPS through the implementation of scientific based on inquiry for IVA grade SDN 3 Sesetan academic year 2015/2016. The subjects on this reaserch were 40 students consists of 22 female and 18 male of SDN 3 Sesetan. There were two collection methods used in this research, the methods of observation and test methods. Learning activity data collection usedobservation form and data collection instrument IPS knowledge mastery of competence that are used the usual multiple choice test. The data analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis method and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this reserchshow that (1) the average value of the learning activity increased 12,15 from X ̅ = 70,3 on first cycle become X ̅ = 82,45 on second cycle, (2) the average value of competence mastery of knowledge increased 11,4 from X ̅= 69,7 on first cycle become X ̅ = 81,1 on second cycle, (3) classical competence mastery of completeness IPS increased 40% from 42,5% on first cycle become 82,5% of the totally 40 of students in the second cycles. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of scientific based approach on inquiry the activity and competence mastery of IPS IVA grade student of SDN 3 Sesetan teaching basic academic year 2015/2016.
