PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DENGAN PENILAIAN PROYEK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Meningkatkan keaktifan belajar IPS tema cita-citaku melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan penilaian proyek pada siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri 8 Padangsambian dan (2) Meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS tema cita-citaku melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan penilaian proyek pada siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri 8 Padangsambian. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVB sebanyak 43 siswa yang terdiri dari 18 siswa laki-laki dan 25 siswa perempuan. Data mengenai keaktifan belajar IPS dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode tes. Kedua data ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase rata-rata keaktifan belajar siswa pada siklus I dari 75,52% dengan kategori cukup aktif dan pada siklus II menjadi 86,65% dengan kategori aktif. Sedangkan untuk hasil penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa diperoleh rata-rata persentase yaitu 74,80% pada siklus I dengan kategori sedang dan pada siklus II menjadi 86,65% dengan kategori tinggi. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan penilaian proyek dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS tema cita-citaku siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri 8 Padangsambian.

The study aimed at (1) improving the activeness of social studies with a theme Cita-citaku through the application of scientific approach to the assessment of students project in class IVB of SD Negeri 8 Padangsambian, and (2) improving the knowledge mastery of social studies competencies with the theme Cita-citaku through the application of scientific approach to the assessment of the students project in class IVB of SD Negeri 8 Padangsambian. This study was classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles. The study was conducted at class IVB which consisted of 43 students 18 were males and 25 were females. The data about the activeness of social studies was collected by using observation and the data about mastering the competency of social studies knowledge was collected by using test. Both of the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The result of the data show that the average percentage of students learning activeness in the first cycle of 75.52% with a category quite active and the second cycle become 86.65%, with the active category. As the results of students mastery of competencies from social studies knowledge gained an average percentage is 74.80% in the first cycle with the medium category and the second cycle become 86.65% with a high category. Based on the result of the study, it was concluded that the application of scientific approach to the assessment of the project can enhance the students activeness and mastery of social studies competencies with the theme Cita-citaku in calss IVB of SD Negeri 8 Padangsambian.
