PENERAPAN STRATEGI BEACH BALL BERBANTUAN MEDIA POSTER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V di SDN 2 Pemaron Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 setelah diterapkan strategi pembelajaran Beach Ball berbantuan media poster. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V semester genap SDN 2 Pemaron yang berjumlah 34 orang siswa. Objek penelitian yaitu motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA. Data motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh menggunakan metode kuesioner dan data hasil belajar diperoleh menggunakan metode tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis untuk mencari rata-rata dan persentase rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata persentase motivasi belajar siswa dari pra siklus sebesar 60% kategori “Rendah” menjadi 72% kategori “Sedang” pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 82,73% kategori “Tinggi” pada siklus II. Peningkatan motivasi belajar yang terjadi sebesar 22,73% dari pra siklus hingga siklus II. Terjadi peningkatan pada hasil belajar siswa dari pra siklus sebesar 67,2% kategori “Sedang” menjadi 76,4% kategori “Sedang” pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 89,4% kategori “Tinggi” pada siklus II. Peningkatan hasil belajar yang terjadi sebesar 22,2% dari pra siklus hingga siklus II. Dengan demikian, penerapan Beach Ball berbantuan media poster dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.

The aim of this research was to determine the increase motivation and science learning outcomes in class V SDN 2 Pemaron sub district Buleleng of the Academic Year 2015/2016 after applied Beach Ball learning strategy assisted by media poster. This research such as a Classroom Action Reseach (PTK). The subject of this research are 34 students in class V SDN 2 Pemaron sub district Buleleng of the Academic Year 2015/2016. Object of this research are motivation and science learning outcomes. Data about learning motivation of the students collected using questionnaire method and data about learning outcomes collected using test method. Data were analyzed to find the average and average percentage. The results showed an increase of the motivation average percentage from pre-cycle as 60 % as “Low” category to be 72% as “Medium” category at the cycle I and increase to be 82,73 % as “High” category at the cycle II. Increase the learning motivation is 22,73% from pre-cycle to cycle II. An increase stundents learning outcomes from pre-cycle as 67,2% as “Medium” category to be 76,4% as “Medium” category at the cycle I and increase to be 89,4% as “High” category at the cycle II. Increase the learning outcomes is 22,2% from pre-cycle to cycle II. Through these results, Beach Ball learning techniques assisted by media poster can increase the students motivation and learning outcomes.
