PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBASIS MIND MAPPING DAPAT MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF DAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis mind mapping pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 6 Sanur tahun pelajaran 2015/2016; (2) meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis mind mapping pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 6 Sanur tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 6 Sanur yang berjumlah 43 siswa yang terdiri dari 21 siswa laki-laki dan 22 siswa perempuan. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode tes. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada siklus I yaitu 82,58 dengan kategori di bawah rata-rata dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 94,20 dengan kategori rata-rata. Sementara itu, untuk penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS pada siklus I diperoleh 48,84% siswa yang mendapat skor minimal 3,18 (B+) dan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa yaitu 79,07% siswa yang mendapat skor minimal 3,18 (B+). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis mind mapping dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 6 Sanur tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : saintifik, mind mapping, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS.
This study aims to: (1) improving the creative thinking ability through the implementation of scientific approach to mind mapping based on the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Sanur in the academic year 2015/2016; (2) improving the mastery of knowledge competencies of social science through the implementation of a scientific approach to mind mapping based on fifth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Sanur in the academic year 2015/2016. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Sanur as many as 43 students consisting of 21 male and 22 female students. Collecting data in this study conducted with test method. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that gained an average of creative thinking ability in the first cycle is 82,58 with below average category and the second cycle increased to 94,20 with the average category. Meanwhile, for the mastery of knowledge competencies of social science in the first cycle was obtained 48.84% of students who received a minimum score of 3,18 (B +) and the second cycle the mastery of knowledge competencies of social science increased to 79.07% of students who received a minimum score of 3,18 (B +). It can be concluded that the implementation of a scientific approach based mind mapping can improve the creative thinking ability and mastery of knowledge competencies of social science in fifth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Sanur in the academic year 2015/2016.
