PENERAPAN TALKING STICK BERBASIS PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN IPA SISWA KELAS V SD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatakan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA melalui penerapan model Talking Stick berbasis Pendekatan Saintifik pada siswa kelas V SD N 2 Sumerta Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 25 siswa, terdiri dari 6 siswa perempuan dan 19 siswa laki-laki. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) pengamatan, (4) refleksi. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data mengenai pengetahuan IPA siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes, kemudian data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis satatistik deskriptif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif.Berdasarkan analisis data, maka diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus I sebesar 72%, selanjutnya mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 92%. Peningkatan yang terjadi dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 20%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Talking Stick berbasis Pendekatan Saintifik dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas V SD N 2 SumertaKata Kunci : talking stick, pendekatan saintifik, IPA
This study is to increase the mastery in science knowladge competence through the implementation of the Talking Stick model in the fifth grade students of The Public Elementary School 2 Sumerta, the school year 2015/2016 with the total student is 25 students, it consists of 6 female students and 19 male students. This study is Action Class Study. It is done in two cycles. Each cycles gets four steps, they are : ( 1 ) planning, ( 2 ) implementation, ( 3 ) monitoring, ( 4 ) reflection. The data gathered in this study is the data connecting with the science knowledge of the students. The data is gathered in test method, the data is analyzed in descriptive statistic analysis technique and descriptive quantitive analysis.Based on data analysis, it gets a classical completeness in cycle I is 72%, and then it gets improvement in the cycle II to be 92%. It concludes that the implementation of the Talking Stick Model based on the Scientific Approach can increase the mastery in science knowledge competence in he fifth grade students of The Public Elementary School 2 Sumerta.
