PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBASIS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PENEMUAN TERBIMBING DAPAT MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan keaktifan melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing dan (2) meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 4 Sumerta dengan jumlah 39 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data mengenai keaktifan dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dan metode tes. Data tersebut, dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data diperoleh rata-rata persentase keaktifan meningkat 13,37% dari 67,90% pada siklus I dengan kriteria cukup aktif, menjadi 81,27% pada siklus II dengan kriteria aktif. Persentase rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA meningkat 14,43% dari 66,81% pada siklus I dengan kriteria rendah, menjadi 81,24% dengan kriteria tinggi. Ketuntasan klasikal meningkat 30,77% dari 51,28% pada siklus I menjadi 82,05% pada siklus II. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas IV SDN 4 Sumerta tahun ajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : pendekatan saintifik, model pembelajaran, keaktifan dan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA
These purposes of this research are to (1) improve the activity of students through the application of scientific approach based on guide discovery model and (2) improve the mastery of competence in science based on guide discovery model. This research is class action research which is held in 2 cycles. The subject of it is four grade students in SDN 4 Sumerta with the total number of students are 39. The data collecting methods about the activity and the mastery of competency in science which is used in this research are observation and test methods. Those data are analyzed using descriptive statistic and descriptive quantitative methods. The result of data analysis are the percentage of students activity increases 13,37% from 67,90% in the cycles I with active enough criteria and it increases being 81,27% in cycles II with active criteria. The average percentage of mastery the science competency increases 14,43% from 66,81% in cycles I with low criteria and it become 81,24% with the high criteria. The classical completeness increases 30,77% from 51,28% in the cycles I becomes 82,05% in cycles II. From the result, it can be concluded that the application of scientific approach based on guide discovery model is succeed in improving the activity and the mastery of science competency of four grade students in SDN 4 Sumerta academic year 2015/2016.
