PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBANTUAN MIND MAPPING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN PKn DAN MOTIVASI

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan mind mapping dan (2) untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan mind mapping. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri 4 Ubung yang berjumlah 42 orang tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn dikumpulkan menggunakan tes dan motivasi belajar dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada pra siklus diperolah persentase rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn sebesar 62,00% dikategorikan rendah dengan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 57,14%. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan pembelajaran pada siklus I, persentase rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan menjadi 72.52% dikategorikan sedang dengan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 57,14%. Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 82,16% dikategorikan tinggi dengan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 88,09%. Persentase rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 68,79% dengan kategori sedang dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 88,31% dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan santifik berbantuan mind mapping dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan PKn dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri 4 Ubung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : saintifik, mind mapping, pengetahuan PKn, motivasi
The purpose of this study are (1) to improve the mastery of civics knowledge competencies through the application of a scientific approach aided by mind mapping and (2) to increase the learning motivation through the application of a scientific approach aided by mind mapping. This research is a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles. Subjects were the IVB grade students of SD Negeri 4 Ubung in the academic year 2015/2016 which consisted of 42 students. The mastery of civic knowledge competencies data were collected by using the test and the data of learning motivation were collected by using a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the average percentage of the mastery of civil knowledge competencies data in pre-cycle was 62.00% categorized as low which reached 57.14% classical completeness. After the improvement of learning method in the first cycle, the average percentage of the mastery of civic knowledge competencies data becomes 72.52% and categorized as medium which reached 57.14% of classical completeness. In the second cycle, the percentage increased to 82.16% categorized as high which reached 88.09% of classical completeness. The average percentage of student’s motivation in the first cycle was 68.79% categorized as medium and the second cycle increased to 88.31% categorized as high. Based on these results, it can be conclude that the scientific approach aided mind mapping can improve the mastery of civics knowledge competencies and learning motivation of IVB grade students of SD Negeri 4 Ubung in academic year 2015/2016.
