PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DENGAN SETING QUANTUM TEACHING BERBANTUAN MEDIA VISUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS KELAS IVB SDN 3 UBUNG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan seting pembelajaran kuantum berbantuan media visual siswa kelas IVB SDN 3 Ubung, Denpasar Utara tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa klas IVB SDN 3 Ubung yang berjumlah 28 siswa, yang terdiri dari 12 siswa laki – laki dan 16 siswa perempuan. Data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dikumpulkan melalui metode tes yang instrumennya berupa tes objektif pilihan ganda biasa (PGB). Data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan persentase rerata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS 8% dari 77,25% dengan kategori B pada siklus I menjadi 85,25% dengan kategori B+ pada siklus II. Selanjutnya peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal 10,8% dari 89,2% pada siklus I menjadi 100% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan seting pembelajaran kuantum berbantuan media visual dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS pada tema tempat tinggalku siswa kelas IVB di SDN 3 Ubung Denpasar.Kata Kunci : pendekatan saintifik, quantum teaching, media visual, kompetensi pengetahuan IPS
This study aims to increase the mastery of social study knowledge competency through scientific approach to quantum learning assisted visual media of IV grade students of SDN 3 Ubung, North Denpasar in academic year 2015/2016. This study used a classroom action research which conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject was students of IVB class that included 28 students, which consist of 12 male and 16 female. Social study data mastery of knowledge competency collected through multiple choice objective test instrument (PGB) as the test method. Data mastery of social study in knowledge competency was analyzed by using descriptive statistics and quantitative descriptive analysis. The result showed that an enhancement in the average percentage of social study of knowledge mastery competency was 8% from 77.25% with category B on the first cycle became 85,25% with category B+ in the second cycle. Further, the improvement of classical completeness was 10.8% from 89.2% in the first cycle became 100% in the second cycle. Based on the result of data analysis can be concluded that through the application of scientific approaches to quantum learning setting assisted visual media can improve their understanding of knowledge competency in social study by theme “tempattinggalku” of IVB grade students at SDN 3 Ubung Denpasar.
