Penerapan Metode SQ3R Untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Keterampilan Membaca Pada Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas IVA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kompetensi keterampilan membaca pada bahasa Indonesia kelas IV A dengan penerapan metode survey, question, read, recite and review di SDN 2 Ubung Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV A SDN 2 Ubung tahun ajaran 2015/2016 sebanyak 40 0rang, terdiri dari 19 orang perempuan dan 21 laki-laki. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan tes. Data yang didapatkan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan presentase rata-rata kompetensi keterampilan membaca pada bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV A sebesar 11,65% dari 69,98% pada siklus I menjadi 81,63% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode survey, question, read, recite and review dapat meningkatkan kompetensi keterampilan membaca pada bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV A. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada guru kelas IV A di SDN 2 Ubung agar mempertimbangkan metode survey, question, read, recite and review sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam membelajarkan siswa.

This study aims to determine the increase reading skill at the Indonesian language of the fourth grade students with implementation survey, question, read, recite and review method of SDN 2 Ubung in academic year 2015/2016. This study is the classroom action research carried out by two cycles. The subjects of the study were the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Ubung in academic year 2015/2016. The total numbers of the fourth grade students were 40 students, consisted of 19 females and 21 males. To collect the data needed by the researcher for present investigation, there were two research instrument in conducting the research, those were : observation and test. The data established will analyze with the descriptive analysis method.
The result of data analysis showed the increasing scores of the cycle I 11,65 become 69,98% and the cycle II 81,63%. The finding clearly showed that the subjects under study in reading skill were developed significantly from session to session. Based on the result of this study, it could be conclude that the implementation of survey, question, read,recite, and review method could make developing the reading skill at the Indonesian language of SDN 2 Ubung in academic year 2015/2016. So that, the researcher suggested to use survey, question, read, recite and review method in learning Indonesian language especially in the teaching reading skill.
