PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBANTUAN MEDIA GAMBAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF DAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI KETERAMPILAN MENULIS SISWA KELAS IVB SDN 5 SUMERTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2015/2016

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan kompetensi keterampilan menulis kelas IVB dengan penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan media gambar di SDN 5 Sumerta Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IVB SDN 5 Sumerta tahun ajaran 2015/2016 sebanyak 30 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tes yaitu tes tulis. Data yang didapatkan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan metode statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan persentase rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas IVB sebesar 16,44%. Pada siklus I persentase rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif sebesar 65,06% sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai 81,50%. Sedangkan untuk peningkatan persentase rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi keterampilan menulis siswa kelas IVB sebesar 19,07%. Pada siklus I persentase rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi keterampilan menulis sebesar 67,1% sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai 86,17%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan media gambar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan kompetensi keterampilan menulis siswa kelas IVB. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada guru kelas IVB di SDN 5 Sumerta agar mempertimbangkan pendeketan saintifik berbantuan media gambar sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam membelajarkan siswa.

This study is purposed to find out the improvement of creative thinking skill and the mastery of writing skill competency of IVB class by applying scientific approach helped by picture as media in SDN 5 Sumerta Academic Year 2015/2016. This study is a classroom action research which is conducted in two cycles. The subject of this study are the students of IVB class in SDN 5 Sumerta academic year 2015/2016 that consist of 30 students. The data collection in this study is derived from a written test. Obtained data then analyzwd by descriptive statistic method and descriptive quantitative analysis. The result shows that is an improvement on the average percentage of students creative thinking in IVB about 16,44%. At the first cycle, the average percentage of creative thinking is about 65,06% while in the second cycle reaches 81,50%. Meanwhile, for the raising average percentage of creative thinking skill and the writing skill of the students is 19,07%. In the first cycle the average percentage of mastery writing competency skill is 67,1% while in second cycle reaches 86,17%. Based on the study it can be concluded that the application of scientific approach helped by picture as media is able to make an improvement of the creative thinking skill and the mastery of writing skill competency of students in IVB class. Thus, it is suggested for the teacher in IVB class of SDN 5 Sumerta to consider scientific approach as one of the alternative ways in students learning.
