PENERAPAN MODEL TPS DALAM PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBANTUAN CONCEPT MAPPING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas IVB SDN 5 Peguyangan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dalam pendekatan saintifik berbantuan concept mapping. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IVB SDN 5 Peguyangan tahun ajaran 2015/2016 sebanyak 37 siswa dengan jumlah perempuan 24 orang dan jumlah laki-laki 13 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode tes dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah berupa tes objektif pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS pada siklus I mencapai 45,94% atau 17 dari 37 siswa mendapat nilai ≥ 3,51 (A-) dan pada siklus II mencapai 78,37% atau 28 dari 37 siswa mendapat nilai ≥ 3,51 (A-). Nilai penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II = 32,43%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dalam pendekatan saintifik berbantuan concept mapping dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas IVB SDN 5 Peguyangan tahun ajaran 2015/2016.

This classroom action research aims to increase the competence mastery of social studies knowledge in grade IVB students of SD Negeri 5 Peguyangan trough the application of cooperatif learning model type TPS in scientifik approachment assisted concept mapping. This study is a classroom action research which was implemented into two cycles, and consisted of 37 students, that were 24 female and 13 male of fourt grade students of SDN 5 Peguyangan in the academic year of 2015/2016 as the subject of the study. In this study collecting data conducted with test. The test method used to obtain data on the competency mastery of social studies knowledge, the test used of objective multiple choice test . The data obtained from the test than analyzed with descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative methods. The results of this study shows that the students competence mastery of social studies knowledge in the first cycle was 45,94%, or from the total number of 37 students, 17 students got score ≥ 3.51 (A-). On the second cycle the students achievement was 78.37% or 28 students from the total number of 37 student, got score ≥ 3.51 (A-). Value competency mastery of mathematical knowledge of students increase from cycle I to cycle II = 32,43%. Based on result this study, that the application of the cooperatif learning model type TPS in scientifik approachment assisted concept mapping can increase the competence mastery of social studies knowledge in grade IVB students of SD Negeri 5 Peguyangan knowledge teaching of 2015/2016.
