PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS DAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS TEMA SEJARAH PERADABAN INDONESIA SISWA KELAS V SDN 1 SUMERTA TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas empat tahapan yaitu, perencanaan, tindakan, observasi/evaluasi, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VA SDN 1 Sumerta tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan jumlah 42 siswa. Pengumpulan data penguasaan kompetensi kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode tes yaitu tes objektif pilihan ganda biasa untuk mengukur penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dan tes essay untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada Pra siklus diketahui persentase penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS sebesar 59,52% dari 42 siswa mencapai nilai ≥2,85(B) dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 57,14%. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan pembelajaran, pada siklus I persentase meningkat sebesar 11,91% pada pra siklus menjadi yaitu 71,43% dari 42 siswa yang mencapai nilai ≥2,85(B) dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 64,29%. Pada siklus II persentase sebesar 97,62% dari 42 siswa yang mencapai nilai ≥B (2,85) dengan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 90,48%. Sementara itu, kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siklus I diperoleh persentase sebesar 78,57% dari 42 siswa siswa yang mencapai nilai ≥2,85(B), dan pada siklus II diperoleh persentase sebesar 92,85% dari 42 siswa yang mencapai nilai ≥B (2,85). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan Penguasaan Kompetensi Pengetahuan IPS dan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kelas VA SDN 1 Sumerta tahun ajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : Problem Based Learning, Kompetensi Pengetahuan IPS, Berpikir Kritis
The aimed of this research was to improve the mastery competence of social knowledge and the ability to think critically through the implementation of Problem Based Learning. This research was a classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation/evaluation, and reflection. The subjects were students of class VA in SDN 1 Sumerta Academic Year 2015/2016 amounted to 42 students. The data of mastery competence of social knowledge and ability to think critically collected by test method. The data of Mastery competence of social knowledge is measured by using a objective test and ability to think critically is measured by using a essay test. The data have collected were analyzed by analysis of statistic descriptive. The result of this study show that pre-cycle obtained an percentage of the mastery competence of social knowledge 59,52% of 42 students reached value ≥2,85(B) with classical completeness of 57,14%. When repaired the learning process, in the first cycle obtaine percentage increased 11,91% to 71,43% of 42 students reached value ≥2,85(B) with classical completeness of 64,29%. In the second cycle obtained percentage of 97,62% of 42 students reached value ≥2,85(B) with classical completeness of 90,48%. Meanwhile, The ability to think critical of students, in first cycle obtaine percentage 78,57% of 42 students reached value ≥2,85(B), and in second cycle obtained percentage 92,85% of 42 students reached value ≥2,85(B). It is can be concluded that, the implementation of problem based learning can improve improve the mastery competence of social knowledge and the ability to think critically on the VA grade students of SDN 1 Sumerta Academic Year 2015/2016.
