PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE DALAM PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dalam pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dua siklus, dengan prosedur perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVA SDN 17 Dauh Puri tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang terdiri dari 35 orang siswa. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas IVA SDN 17 Dauh Puri. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode tes, dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil siklus I diperoleh persentase rata-rata nilai kompetensi pengetahuan IPS sebesar 74,6%, dengan ketuntasan klasikal 65,71%. Pada siklus II persentase rata-rata nilai kompetensi pengetahuan IPS sebesar 83%, dengan ketuntasan klasikal 82,85%. Dengan demikian terjadi peningkatan persentase rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan IPS sebesar 8,4%, dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dalam pendekatan saintifik kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas IVA SDN 17 Dauh Puri dapat meningkat pada tahun ajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : think pair share, saintifik, kompetensi pengetahuan IPS
This research was conducted to improve student competence of social science through the application of think pair share learning method scientific approach. The research was conducted in two cycles, as followed: planning, action, observation and reflection. Subject of the study was fourth grade students of SDN 17 Dauh Puri in academic year 2015/2016 consisted of 35 students. Object of the study was students competence of fourth grade SDN 17 Dauh Puri in mastering social science. The data was collected by testing method and analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis quantitative descriptive analysis. The result of cycle I was achieved average percentage to 74,6%, with classical completeness 65,71%. Whereas in cycle II the average percentage of social sciene was 83%, with classical completeness 82,85%, thus the average percentage was improved to 8,4% and it can be concluded that think pair share learning method though scientific approach can improve the students competence in social science to the fourth grade students of SDN 17 Dauh Puri in academic year 2015/2016.
