PENERAPAN MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA LINGKUNGAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA TEMA EKOSISTEM

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA melalui penerapan model discovery learning berbantuan media lingkungan siswa kelas VB SDN 12 Padangsambian tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VB SDN 12 Padangsambian yang berjumlah 39 siswa, terdiri dari 17 siswa perempuan dan 22 siswa laki-laki. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes untuk mengukur kompetensi pengetahuan dan metode observasi untuk kompetensi keterampilan IPA dan kompetensi sikap dalam belajar IPA. Data hasil belajar IPA dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan ketuntasan klaksikal kompetensi pengetahuan IPA dari 43,58% pada siklus I menjadi 84,61% pada siklus II dengan kata lain terjadi peningkatan 41,03%. Hasil penelitian kompetensi keterampilan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kuantitas siswa yang memenuhi indikator kompetensi keterampilan IPA. Kemudian, secara umum data hasil belajar kompetensi sikap dalam belajar IPA menunjukkan seluruh siswa memiliki sikap yang baik dan bertambahnya kuantitas siswa yang memenuhi indikator kompetensi sikap dalam belajar IPA. Peningkatan hasil belajar IPA terjadi dari pra siklus ke siklus I maupun dari siklus I ke siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui penerapan model discovery learning berbantuan media lingkungan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VB SDN 12 Padangsambian.

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of natural science through the application of the discovery learning, media-assisted environment model, on students of VB grade of Padangsambian primary school 12 of the academic school year 2015/2016. This research is done in the whole classroom and is conducted in two cycles.Each cyle consists out of four stages;planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The student of grade VB of Padangsambian primary school 12 are the research subjects, and totals a sum of 39 students. The students can be devided into 17 students which are female and 22 student who are male. Data collection in done with a test method to measure the competence of knowledge of the students and an observation method for natural science competency skills and attitude in competencies in learning natural science. The data results of learning natural science were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed an increase in naturals science knowledge competency of the whole class from 43,58% in the first cycle, to 84,61% in the second cycle. In other words san increase of 41,03%. Research results shows that the skliis competencies of the students increase and that more students meet the indocator if natural science skill competency indicator. Then, the general data results of learning natural science competencies shows that all the students have the good attitude, and that there is an increase in numbers of students who meet the competency indicator in learning natural science. Increase in outcomes learning natural science occurs from the pre-cycle to cycle I, and from the first cycle to the second cycle. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that trough the application of the discovery learning, media assisted environment model can improve the learning outcome in natural science of VB grade students of Padangsambian primary school 12.
