PENERAPAN TEKNIK INSIDE OUTSIDE CIRCLE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP IPA KELAS IV

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep IPA dengan penerapan teknik pembelajaran Inside Outside Circle pada siswa kelas IV semester II SD N 1 Serampingan, Kecamatan Selemadeg, Kabupaten Tabanan, tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 19 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep IPA. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar kuisioner dan tes. Data dianalisis untuk mendapatkan mean dan persentase mean. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan persentase motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep IPA pada siswa kelas IV semester II di SD N 1 Serampingan, Kecamatan Selemadeg, Kabupaten Tabanan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Pada siklus I, persentase rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 78,9% (katagori sedang) dan persentase rata-rata pemahaman konsep IPA sebesar 78,4%, (katagori sedang). Pada siklus II, motivasi belajar siswa dan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa mengalami peningkatan. Persentase rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 88,7% (katagori tinggi) dan persentase rata-rata pemahaman konsep IPA siswa sebesar 88,4% (katagori tinggi).

This study is aims to improve learning motivation and comprehension of science concept with implementation of learning technique Inside Outside Circle to 4th grade students in second semester of SD N 1 Serampingan, Selemadeg district, Tabanan regency in academic year of 2015/2016. The type of this study is classroom action research that was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 19 eighth grade students. The objects of this study is learning and comprehension concept of science subject. The data collection use heet questionnaire and testing.The data analyzed to get the mean and the mean percentage. The result of the study showed that there was an increase of percentage in students’ learning motivation and comprehension concept in science learning in 4th grade students in second semester of SD N 1 Serampingan, Selemadeg district, Tabanan regency in academic year of 2015/2016. In the first cycle, the average percentage of student motivation learning of 78.9% (medium category) and the average percentage of student comprehension concept of 78.4% (medium category). In the second cycle, motivation learning and comprehension concept of students experiencing an increase . The average percentage of student motivation learning of 88.7 % (high category) and the average percentage of student comprehension concept of 88.4 % (high category).
