PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJRAN SNOWBALL THROWING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS III SEMESTER GENAP SDN 1 TEGAL BADENG TIMUR KECAMATAN NEGARA KABUPATEN JEMBRANA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2015/2016

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui peningkatan motivasi siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing pada pembelajaran IPA, (2) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing pada pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SD Negeri 1 Tegal Badeng Timur Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 27 orang dan objek penelitiannya adalah motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA. Data motivasi dikumpulkan melalui lembar kuesioner. Metode yang di gunakan untuk mengumpulkan data hasil belajar menggunakan metode tes berupa tes hasil belajar. Data yang sudah terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mencari rata-rata kelas dan persentase tingkat hasil belajar. Peningkatan motivasi pada siklus I sebesar 69,62%dan pada siklus II sebesar 88,96% atau dengan kata lain terjadi peningkatan sebesar 19,62% termasuk dalam katagori termotivasi. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 67,03% dan pada siklus II sebesar 81,11%. Berarti telah terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar IPA sebesar 14,08% dalam pedoman PAP skala 5 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan data tersebut penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing pada pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing, IPA, motivasi, hasil belajar
This study aims (1) to determine the increase of students'’ motivation after the implementation of Snowball Throwing learing model in naturalscience learning, (2) to increase students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of Snowball Throwing learning model in naturalscience learning. This classroom action research conducted in two cycles, the subjects in this study is the third grade students of SD Negeri 1 Tegal Badeng Timur, Negara district, Jembrana regency by the number of students as many as 27 students and the objects of this study are the motivation and the natural sience learning outcomes.Data were collected through questionnaire. The method which used to collect learning outcomes was using test method such as test of learning outcomes. The data was analyzed by descriptivequantitative statisticaly for finding the average grade and percentage levels of learning outcomes. Increased motivation in the first cycle was 69.62% and the second cycle was 88.96% or in other words it had increased 19.62% included in the motivated category. The students leaning outcomes in the first cycle was 67.03% and the second cycle was 81.11%. It Mean there has been an increase learning outcomes for 14.08% in 5 scale PAP guidelines included in the high category. Based on the data the implementation of Snowball Throwing learning model on natual science learning can improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes.
