PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK TALK WRITE (TTW) BERBANTUAN MEDIA GAMBAR SERI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS KARANGAN SISWA KELAS III SD

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan siswa kelas III SD Negeri 5 Belimbing, Kecamatan Pupuan, Kabupaten Tabanan, Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SD Negeri 5 Belimbing, yang berjumlah 14 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah keterampilan menulis karangan siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes menulis karangan. Data dianalisis untuk menghitung mean dan persentase mean. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan persentase rata-rata keterampilan menulis karangan siswa kelas III SD Negeri 5 Belimbing. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan persentase rata-rata keterampilan menulis karangan siswa secara klasikal, yaitu dari pra siklus sebesar 62,64% (kategori rendah) menjadi 76,42% (kategori sedang) pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 82,14% (kategori tinggi) pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 19,50% dari pra siklus hingga siklus II. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan siswa kelas III SD Negeri 5 Belimbing, Kecamatan Pupuan, Kabupaten Tabanan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : TTW, gambar seri, menulis karangan
The purpose of this reserch was improve writing skills of third grade students in SD Negeri 5 Belimbing, Pupuan, Tabanan, in the 2015/2016 academic years, by applying “Think Talk Write” learning model. This research was action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this reserch were third grade students of SD Negeri 5 Belimbing that consist of 14 students. The object of this research was the students' writing skills. The data collection was done by writing test method. The data were analyzed to calculate mean and mean percentage. The results showed that an increase in the mean percentage of writing skills of third grade students in SD Negeri 5 Belimbing. It can be seen from the increase in mean percentage of writing skills of the students in the classical style, that were from pre-cycle of 62.64% (lower category) to 76.42% (medium category) in the first cycle and increased to 82.14% ( high category) in the second cycle, there were 19.50% increase from the pre cycle to cycle II. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of “Think Talk Write” learning model can improved writing skills of third grade students in SD Negeri 5 Belimbing, Pupuan, Tabanan in the 2015/2016 academic years.
