PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBASIS PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS DAN SIKAP SOSIAL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS, dan sikap sosial melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis pendidikan karakter siswa kelas VB SDN 6 Ubung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VB SDN 6 Ubung, yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Pengumpulan data hasil belajar pada penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan menggunakan metode tes berbentuk pilihan ganda biasa, untuk sikap sosial menggunakan metode non tes berbentuk lembar kuesioner. Kemudian data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa meningkat 12,66 dari 74,07 pada siklus I menjadi 86,73 pada siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar muatan materi IPS secara klasikal meningkat 46,15% dari 46,15% pada siklus I menjadi 92,30% pada siklus II. Presentase rata-rata sikap sosial siswa meningkat 4,37 dari 83,26 pada siklus I menjadi 87,63 pada siklus II. Pada penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dan sikap sosial siswa dalam proses pembelajaran cenderung berubah kearah yang positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis pendidikan karakter dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan dan sikap sosial siswa kelas VB SD Negeri 6 ubung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : pendekatan saintifik, pendidikan karakter, penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan, sikap sosial.
This study research aimed to improve the competence of social knowledge and social attitudes through an application of scientific approach based on character education VB grade students of SDN 6 Ubung in academic year 2015/2016. The subjects of this research were students in grade VB SDN 6 Ubung, they were 26 students. The data of the result of social knowledge mastery was collected by using test method with multiple choice usual, and to collecte data of social attitude was used non test method in questionnaire form. Then the data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis technique and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showes that the average value of social knowledge mastery increases 12,66 from 74,07 at 86,73 in the first cycle to the second cycle. The mastery learning material charge in classical social knowledge increases 46.15 % from 46.15 % in the first cycle to 92.30 % in the second cycle . The average percentage of social attitude student increase 4.37 from 83.26 in the first cycle to 87.63 in the second cycle. Social knowledge on the mastery of social knowledge competence and social attitude students in the learning process is likely to change in a positive direction . Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of scientific approach based on character educational can increase social knowledge competence mastery and social attitude in VB grade students at SD N 6 Ubung in academic year 2015/2016 .
