PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY BERBASIS KARAKTER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA TEMA TEMPAT TINGGALKU SISWA KELAS IVA SD NEGERI 6 KESIMAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar pada kompetensi sikap dalam belajar IPA, (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar pada kompetensi pengetahuan IPA, dan (3) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar pada kompetensi keterampilan dalam belajar IPA siswa kelas IVA SD Negeri 6 Kesiman melalui penerapan model pembelajaran discovery berbasis karakter. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IVA SD Negeri 6 Kesiman berjumlah 31 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar IPA meliputi kompetensi sikap dalam belajar IPA, kompetensi pengetahuan IPA, dan kompetensi keterampilan dalam belajar IPA. Metode penggumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi untuk menggumpulkan data kompetensi sikap dan keterampilan dalam belajar IPA dan metode tes untuk menggumpulkan data kompetensi pengetahuan IPA. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) melalui penerapan model pembelajaran discovery berbasis karakter dapat menumbuhkan sikap dalam belajar IPA, hal ini teramati dan bertambahnya kuantitas siswa dari siklus I dan siklus II yang mencapai indikator kompetensi sikap yang telah ditetapkan. (2) Pada kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa pada siklus I sebanyak 77,83% dan meningkat pada silus II menjadi 87,09% dengan predikat sangat baik. (3) Terjadi perubahan kuantitas siswa yang memenuhi indikator kompetensi keterampilan dalam belajar IPA dari siklus I dan siklus II. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran discovery berbasis karakter dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IVA SD Negeri 6 Kesiman Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : discovery, karakter, hasil belajar IPA
This research aims to (1) describe the results of a study on the competency of the attitude in learning science, (2) enhance the results of the study on the competency of knowledge science, and (3) describes the results of a study on the competency of skills in learning science fourth graders students of Public Elementary School 6 Kesiman through the application of character-based discovery learning.This research is a classroom action research with the subjects in this study were fourth graders students of Public Elementary School 6 Kesiman totaling 31 people. This research is implemented in 2 cycles. The object in this research is the results of learning science covers competency of the attitude in learning science, competency of knowledge science, and competency of skills in learning science. The method of collecting data used are observation methods for collecting data on attitudes and skills competency in learning science and test methods to collecting data for competence of knowledge science. The data were analized use analysis statistics descriptive, analysis descriptive quantitative, analysis descriptive qualitative. The results of research showed (1) through the application of character-based discovery learning can foster an attitude in learning science, it is observed and the increase of the quantity of students from cycle I and cycle II who reached the indicator of competence defined attitude. (2) On competency of knowledge science in cycle I as much as 77,83% and increased in cycles II to 87,16% with predicate wery good. (3) There is a change in the quantity of students who meet the competency indicators skills in learning science from cycle I and cycles II. Thus it can be concluded that through the application of character-based discovery learning may improve the results of the study of science of fourth graders students of Public Elementary School 6 Kesiman academic year 2015/2016.
