PENERAPAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW BERBANTUAN MEDIA GAMBAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA SISWA KELAS III

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan membaca siswa setelah diterapkan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan media gambar pada siswa kelas III di SD N 3 Tukadmungga tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III semester genap SD N 3 Tukadmungga tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 20 orang dan objek penelitian ini yaitu keterampilan membaca. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari 3 kali pertemuan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil keterampilan membaca pada siklus I sebesar 60% (kategori rendah) dan keterampilan membaca pada siklus II sebesar 80% (kategori tinggi). Terjadi peningkatan keterampilan membaca sebesar 20%. Ini berarti penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan media gambar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa kelas III di SD N 3 Tukadmungga tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw, media gambar, keterampilan membaca
This study aims to determine students' reading skills improvement after application of pictures cooperative jigsaw pictures in third-grade students in SD N 3 Tukadmungga the school year 2015/2016. This research is a classroom action research subjects second semester of third grade students of SD N 3 Tukadmungga the school year 2015/2016 of 20 people and the object of research is the skill of reading. This study was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meetings. Data collection methods used in this research is the method of observation. The collected data was analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the results of the reading skills at the first cycle of 60% (low category) and reading skills at the second cycle by 80% (high category). An increase their reading skills by 20%. This means that the implementation of cooperative learning model jigsaw aided drawing pictures can improve students' reading skills of third grade in elementary school N 3 Tukadmungga the school year 2015/2016.
