Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan Membaca Bahasa Indonesia melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Tipe Teams Games Tournaments Siswa Kelas VB SDN 5 Sumerta Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VB SDN 5 Sumerta, yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Pengumpulan data motivasi menggunakan metode angket, untuk keterampilan membaca bahasa Indonesia menggunakan metode tes berbentuk tes uraian. Kemudian data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa meningkat, siklus I mencapai 69,44% dan siklus II mencapai 86,88% sedangkan nilai rata-rata keterampilan membaca siswa meningkat dari siklus I mencapai 2,06 yang berada pada katagori C+ kesiklus II mencapai 2,57 yang berada pada katagori B+. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Tipe Teams Games Tournaments dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan membaca Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas VB SDN 5 Sumerta tahun ajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : penerapan model pembelajaran tipe teams games tournaments, motivasi, keterampilan membaca bahasa Indonesia.
This study aims to improve the motivation and skills of Indonesian Reading through the Application of Learning Model Type Grade Teams Games Tournaments VB SDN 5 Sumerta Academic Year 2015/2016. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Subjects were students in grade VB SDN 5 Sumerta, totaling 27 students. Motivational data collection using questionnaires, for Indonesian reading skills using the test method shaped test description. Then the data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that Indonesian student motivation to learn increases, the cycle I reached 69.44% and cycle II reached 86.88% while the average value of the reading skills of students increased from cycle I reached 2.06 which are in category C + kesiklus II reached 2.57 which are in category B +. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the learning model type Teams Games Tournaments can increase the motivation and skills of reading Indonesian VB grade students of SDN 5 Sumerta academic year 2015/2016.
