PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN NHT BERBANTUAN MEDIA TEKA-TEKI SILANG UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan belajar dan (2) untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPA pada penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) berbantuan media teka-teki silang (Crossword Puzzle) pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 3 Penarukan Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 3 Penarukan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng yang berjumlah 37 orang siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar IPA. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode (1) observasi dan (2) tes. Data yang didapatkan dari metode observasi dan tes selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri 3 Penarukan. Pada siklus I, rata-rata persen keaktifan siswa sebesar 73,15% yang berada pada kategori cukup aktif dan rata-rata persen tingkat hasil belajar sebesar 72,84% yang berada pada kategori sedang. Pada siklus II, rata-rata persen keaktifan siswa sebesar 79% yang berada pada kategori cukup aktif dan rata-rata persen tingkat hasil belajar IPA siswa sebesar 82,56% yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) berbantuan media teka-teki silang (Crossword Puzzle) dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 3 Penarukan Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016.

This study aimed (1) to determine the increase tudents’ learning motivation and (2) to know the improvement of science learning outcomes after the use of cooperative learning Numbered Head Together (NHT) type aided crossword puzzle media on fifth grade students SD Negeri 3 Penarukan in academic year 2015/2016. This type of research is Classroom Based Action Research which is conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students in SD Number 3 Penarukan in academic year 2015/2016 Buleleng district and regency with 37 of total students. The object of this study was the improvement of students motivation and science learning outcomes by the students. The proces of collecting data in this study carried out by the particular method (1) observation, and (2) test. The data obtained from observation and further tests were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive. The results showed that the application of learning cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together (NHT) model aided crossword puzzle media may enhance learning motivation and the outcomes of fifth grade students in SD Number 3 Penarukan in academic year 2015/2016 Buleleng district and regency. In the first cycle, the percentage average of students' learning motivation was 73.15%, which is in enough category and the average rate was 72.84% of learning outcomes that are in the enough category too. In the second cycle, the percentage average of the students' learning motivation was 79% which is active category and the percentage average rate of students in learning science was 82.56%, which is in the high category. Based on the study the researcher can conclude that the use of cooperative learning Numbered Head Together (NHT) type aided crossword puzzle media could increase the students’ motivation and science learning outcomes on fifth grade students SD Negeri 3 Penarukan in academic year 2015/2016.
