Meningkatkan Kompetensi Pengetahuan IPS Menggunakan Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Media yang Diproyeksikan pada Siswa

Proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar khususnya pada muatan pembelajaran IPS belum terlaksana secara optimal, di mana pembelajaran hanya mengacu pada satu buku sumber belajar sebagai tolak ukur dalam belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan media yang diproyeksikan terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain eksperimen semu menggunakan rancangan kelompok non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V SD dengan jumlah siswa 418 orang. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas V SD. Data kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dikumpulkan melalui metode tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda biasa. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan statistik inferensial (uji-t) yang diperoleh hasil t-hitung=5,46 dan t-tabel=2,00 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan dk=57. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung=5,46 > t-tabel=2,00, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media yang diproyeksikan terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas V SD. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan.
