Applying Non-Verbal Reinforcement in Increasing Students' Confidence in Economic Subjects

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya percaya diri peserta didik terhadap diri sendiri dan lingkungan khususnya dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat percaya diri peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran ekonomi dengan memberikan penguatan non-verbal dan keefektifan penguatan non-verbal dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri peserta didik saat kegiatan belajar mengajar mata pelajaran ekonomi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 146 peserta didik dan mengambilan sampel sebanyak 36 peserta didik. Data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tes dan observasi. Teknik tes dalam penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengukur percaya diri pada peserta didik. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif presentase dan uji-t (t-test) menggunakan SPSS. Hasil dari penelitian. menunjukan efektivitas penerapan non-verbal reinforcement dalam meningkatkan percaya diri peserta didik di SMA Negeri 3 Kuningan mengalami peningkatan sesudah dilakukan penguatan non-verbal. Sebelum diberikan penguatan non-verbal peserta didik berada pada ketegori kurang percaya diri, sedangkan setelah diberikan penguatan non-verbal peserta didik mengalami peningkatan rasa percaya diri saat berlajar di kelas terhadap mata pelajaran ekonomi.
