PENGARUH PENDEKATAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK BERBANTUAN MEDIA SEDERHANA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar matematika antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik berbantuan media sederhana dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus III Kecamatan Abiansemal tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas V SD Gugus III Kecamatan Abiansemal yang berjumlah 125 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan eksperimen semu dengan nonequivalent control group design. Penentuan sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh siswa kelas V SD No. 1 Bongkasa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SD No. 2 Bongkasa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes objektif pilihan ganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, rata-rata nilai post-test kelompok eksperimen sebesar 71,25 sedangkan rata-rata nilai post-test kelompok kontrol sebesar 60,22 ( 1 > 2). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik uji-t. Kriteria pengujian adalah jika thitung > ttabel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dengan derajat kebebasan dk = n1 + n2 – 2 dan = 0,05. Uji-t menunjukkan thitung = 4,38, dan ttabel = 2,00 untuk dk = 60 dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian, thitung > ttabel (4,38 > 2,00) maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini berarti penerapan pendekatan matematika realistik berbantuan media sederhana berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD Gugus III Kecamatan Abiansemal tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.Kata Kunci : pendekatan matematika realisttik, media sederhana
This study aims to determine significant differences between groups mathematics studies learning outcomes of students that learned mathematic realistic education supoted by simple media with a group of students that learned using conventional teaching at the fifth grade elementary school Gugus III Abiansemal academic year of 2013/2014. The population of this research are 125 students in the fifth grade of Gugus III Abiansemal. This research is quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. Determination of the samples was done by purposive sampling technique and selected sample was the students of SD NO.1 Bongkasa as experiment group and SD NO. 2 Bongkasa as control group. The data collected by using a multiple-choice objective tests. The based mean of class experiment are 71.25 and mean of the claas contol are 60.22 ( 1 > 2). The data collected were analyzed by t-test analysis. Testing ceiteria is if thitung > ttabel so Ho is rejected and Ha accepted with a degree of freedom dk = n1 + n2 – 2 and = 0.05. T-test results show thitung = 4.38 and ttabel = 2.00 for dk = 60 with a significance 5%. Based on the criteria of examination, thitung > ttabel (4.38 > 2.00) so H0 is rejected an Ha was received. This is means that the application of mathematica realistic education supported by simple media affected the results of mathematic studies fifth grade elementary school Gugus III Abiansemal academic years of 2013/2014.
