Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text The introduction is written using the letters TNR, size 12 and spaced 1 and fist line 1 cm. Text is typed in a print area with margins from top, bottom, left, right made 2.5 cm. Paper size A4, 8.27 inch wide, 11.69 inch high. Layout: 0.5 inch header, 0.5 inch footer. Text does not need page numbers. (Download Template)
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Indonesian Values and Character Education Journal welcomes submissions that align with its focus on Indonesian values and character education. The following guidelines are provided to ensure a smooth submission process and maintain high academic standards.

Manuscript Submission

  1. Language: Manuscripts must be written in English. However, the journal also accepts submissions in Indonesian, with the condition that the manuscript must be translated into English upon acceptance.
  2. Originality: Submissions must be original work that has not been previously published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  3. Format: Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman, size 12, space 1 and line spacing 1 cm. Text is typed in a print area with margins from top, bottom, left, right made 2.5cm. A4 paper size, 8.27-inch-wide, 11.69 inch high. Layout: 0.5-inch header, 0.5-inch footer. To facilitate formatting, authors can use the provided manuscript template.

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page:
    • Title of the manuscript. Maximum 20 words
    • Full names of all authors, along with their affiliations (format: Department/Program, University, City, Country)
    • Corresponding author's name and email address.
    • An abstract of 200-250 words.
    • 3-5 keywords, listed in alphabetical order.
  2. Main Text:
    • Introduction: Present the gap analysis, state of the art, novelty, objectives, and significance of the study.
    • Methodology: Detail the research design, participants, data collection methods, and data analysis procedures.
    • Results: Present findings clearly and concisely, using tables and figures where appropriate.
    • Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss implications, and compare them with previous research.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the main findings, their implications, and suggest future research directions.
  3. References:
    • Follow the 7th Edition of APA (American Psychological Association) style for citations and references.
    • Ensure all references cited in the text are listed in the reference section and vice versa.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and include a descriptive title.
  • Each table and figure must be referred to in the text.
  • Provide tables and figures in the appropriate place within the text or at the end of the manuscript, ensuring they are clear and readable.

Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must adhere to ethical standards in research, including obtaining informed consent from participants and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Review Process

  • All submissions will undergo a single-blind peer review process by at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers.
  • Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' feedback.
  • The final decision on publication rests with the editorial board.

Submission Procedure

  • Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the Online Journal System.

Post-Acceptance

  • Accepted manuscripts will be copyedited for grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
  • Authors will receive proofs for approval before publication.
