PENGEMBANGAN PORTAL E-LEARNING BERBASIS SCHOOLOGY PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS KELAS VIII DI SMPN 1 BANJARANGKAN

Abstract


Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan rancangan pengembangan portal e-learning berbasis Schoology pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Banjarangkan tahun pelajaran 2014/2015, (2) mengetahui kualitas portal e-learning berbasis Schoology dan (3) mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan portal e-learning berbasis Schoology. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Hannafin & Peck. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas VIII.1 sebanyak 30 orang dan kelas VIII.3 sebanyak 30 orang. Validasi data terdiri dari ahli isi mata pelajaran, ahli desain pembelajaran, ahli media pembelajaran, uji perorangan, uji kelompok kecil, dan uji lapangan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu angket, pencatatan dokumen dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, analisis deskriptif kualitatif, dan analisis statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Rancangan pengembangan portal e-learning berbasis Schoology terdiri dari tiga fase, yakni fase analisis kebutuhan, fase desain, serta fase pengembangan dan implementasi. (2) Hasil evaluasi ahli isi mata pelajaran berada pada kualifikasi baik (88%), hasil evaluasi ahli desain pembelajaran berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (88%), hasil evaluasi ahli media pembelajaran berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (92%), hasil uji perorangan berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (92%), hasil uji kelompok kecil berada pada kualifikasi baik (87,8%), dan hasil uji lapangan berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (95,1%). (3) Perhitungan hasil uji efektivitas diperoleh nilai rerata pre-test (54,33) lebih kecil dari nilai post-test (80,33) dan thitung (20,800) lebih besar dari harga ttabel (2,000) pada taraf signifikansi 5%, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar IPS sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan portal e-learning berbasis Schoology. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan portal e-learning berbasis Schoology efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Banjarangkan tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.

This development study aims to (1) describe the design of the e-learning portal based Schoology development in social studies class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Banjarangkan school year 2014/2015, (2) knowing the quality of e-learning portal based Schoology and (3) determining the effectiveness of the portal based Schoology e-learning use. This development study using Hannafin & Peck model. The study involved 30 student of class VIII.1 and 30 student of class VIII.3. Data validation consists of the subject teacher, instructional design experts, media experts learning, individual test, small group test, and field test. Data collection methods were used are the questionnaire, recording documents and test. Data analysis techniques were used are quantitative descriptive analysis, qualitative descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). The results of this study were (1) The design of an e-learning portal based Schoology development consists of three phases, which is the requirement needs assess phase, design phase, and the phase of develop and implement. (2) The results of the expert evaluation of the subjects teacher were in good qualifications (88%), learning design expert evaluation results in the excellent qualifications (90%), the evaluation results of learning media expert in the excellent qualifications (92%), individual test results were in excellent qualifications (92%), small groups of test results in the good qualifications (87,8%), and the results of field tests in the excellent qualifications (95,1%). Pre-test average value (54.33) is smaller than the value of post-test (80.33). Calculation of learning outcomes data obtained tcount results (20,800) greater than the ttable value (2,000) at significance level 5%, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This means there is a significant difference between the results of social studies before and after using the e-learning portal based Schoology. It can be concluded that e-learning portal based Schoology is effective to improve learning outcomes in social studies of student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Banjarangkan school year 2014/2015.
