PENGEMBANGAN FILM PENDEK BERMUATAN NILAI-NILAI SOSIAL PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS DI SMP NEGERI 1 SINGARAJA

Abstract


Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan yaitu rata-rata nilai pada mata pelajaran IPS masih belum memuaskan yaitu 75. Nilai tersebut kurang dari standar nilai ketuntasan untuk mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja, yaitu 80. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan desain pengembangan media film pembelajaran; (2) menguji validitas hasil pengembangan media film pembelajaran IPS untuk siswa kelas VIII SMP; dan (3) mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan pengembangan media film pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Hannafin dan Peck. Pada tahap desain telah dilaksanakan pembuatan rancangan spesifikasi secara rinci mengenai arsitektur media film pembelajaran, naskah, dan kebutuhan materi untuk produk media sebagai acuan alur pengembangan produk. Desain ini digunakan untuk mengembangkan sebuah produk media film pembelajaran IPS kelas VIII SMP. Analisis data menggunakan tiga teknik yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif, teknik analisis statistic inferensial, dan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil evaluasi ahli isi dan Ahli desain mendapatkan kualifikasi nilai sangat baik sehingga media valid dan dilanjutkan ke ahli media yang mendapatkan kualifikasi baik. Hasil uji perorangan sebesar 90,3 % dan hasil uji kelompok kecil sebesar 93,1% masing-masing pada kualifikasi baik serta hasil uji lapangan sebesar 96% pada kualifikasi baik sehingga media dikatakan valid untuk diuji cobakan. Penghitungan hasil belajar t hitung lebih besar daripada harga t tabel sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hasil belajar IPS siswa setelah menggunakan media (90,17) lebih tinggi dibandingkan sebelum menggunakan media (67,67). Dengan demikian, penelitian yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja ini memperoleh kesimpulan yaitu penggunaan media film pembelajaran meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS kelas VIII.

This study was conducted based on a problem of the average value of in social science was still not satisfactory, that was only 75. This value was less, than the standard value of completeness for social science in SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja, that was. This study aimed at (1) describing the design of the development of the educational short film media; (2) testing the validity of the result of the development of the social science educational short film media for eighth graders in junior high school; (3) understanding the effectiveness of the use of the development of the educational short film media toward the learning outcomes of social science for eighth graders in junior high school. This developmental study used the model of Hannafin and Peck. Several steps were done in design phase: drafting of the detailed specifications toward the educational short film media architecture, manuscripts, and material needs for media products as a reference of product development flow. This design was used to develop the product of the social science educational short film media for eighth graders in junior high school. The data analysis used three techniques, namely descriptive analysis techniques of qualitative, analysis techniques of statistic inference, and descriptive analysis techniques of quantitative. The evaluation result of the content and design experts gained qualification of excellent value so that the media became valid and continued to the media expert which gained qualification of good. The individual test result showed 90.3% and the small group test result showed 93.1% respectively in a qualification of good as well as the field test result showed 96% in a qualification of good so that the media could be stated as valid to be tested. The calculation of learning outcomes showed that the t calculation was more than the t table which meant that H0 was rejected meanwhile H1 was accepted. The students learning outcomes of social science after using the media (90.17) was higher than before using the media (67.67). Thus, this research conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja came to the conclusion that the use of the educational short film media improved the social science learning outcomes in eighth graders.
