PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TALKING STICK BERBANTUAN MEDIA KEPINGAN BALOK GEOMETRI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK KELOMPOK B2 TK GANESHA DENPASAR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif saat penerapan model pembelajaran talking stick berbantuan media kepingan balok geometri anak kelompok B2 semester 2 TK Ganesha Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah anak-anak kelompok B2 yang berjumlah 21 anak, yang terdiri dari 8 anak perempuan dan 13 laki-laki. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara dengan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pada siklus I diketahui pencapaian perkembangan kognitif yaitu 61,31% dengan kriteria rendah dan pada siklus II yaitu 84% dengan kriteria tinggi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan kognitif anak meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu 22,69%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, penerapan model pembelajaran talking stick berbantuan media kepingan balok geometri dapat meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif anak kelompok B2 Semester 2 TK Ganesha Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran talking stick, media kepingan balok geometri, perkembangan kognitif
This study aimed to improve cognitive development while applying the talking stick learning model assisted by geometry shapes blocks media to the children of group B2 on second semester at Ganesha Kindergarten Denpasar in academic year 2014/2015. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which conducted in two cycles. The Subjects of this study were children of group B2 second semester at Ganesha Kindergarten Denpasar in academic year 2014/2015, which have 21 children, consisted of 8 girls and 13 boys. This study used observation method and interviews with research instruments in form of observation sheet. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive. The result shows that In the first cycle is the cognitive development reaches 61,31% with low criteria, and in the second cycle the cognitive development reaches 84% with high criteria. The result shows that the development from the first cycle to second cycle reaches 22,69%. It can be concluded that the application of the talking stick learning model assisted by geometry shapes blocks media can improve cognitive development of group B2 children on second semester at Ganesha Kindergarten Denpasar in academic year 2014/2015.
