Analysis The Implementation of Problem Based Learning in English Teaching Learning Processes Based Lesson Plans at SMP Negeri 2 Amlapura

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalis implementasi dari pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam proses belajar mengajar bahasa Inggris berdasarkan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh tiga guru bahasa Inggris di SMP Negeri 2 Amlapura. Terdapat dua analisis yang difokuskan pada implementasi dari pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Terdapat rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru- guru bahasa Inggris dalam proses belajar mengajar dan bagaimana pembelajaran berbasis masalah diimplementasikan di dalam kelas. Lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif untuk menunjukkan implementasi dari metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam proses belajar mengajar oleh tiga guru bahasa Inggris. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga guru bahasa Inggris tidak konsisten di dalam mengimplentasikan metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Terdapat beberapa aktifitas-aktifitas yang guru tidak lakukan ketika mengimplementasikan metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Selain itu, guru- guru bahasa Inggris menemukan beberapa masalah ketika mengimplemtasikan metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah di dalam proses belajar mengajar mereka.Kata Kunci : metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, proses belajar mengajar
This study aimed at analyzing the implementation on the problem based learning in English teaching learning processes based lesson plans used by the three English teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Amlapura. There were two analyses that were focused on implementation of problem based learning. There were the lesson plans used by the English teachers in teaching learning processes and how the problem based learning was implemented in the classroom. Observation sheet and interview guide were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed qualitatively to show the implementation of problem based learning method in teaching learning processes by the three English teachers. The result of the study showed that the three English teachers were not consistent in implementing problem based learning method. There were activities that the teachers did not do when implementing problem based learning method. Besides that, the English teachers encountered problems when implementing problem based learning method in their teaching learning processes.
