THE EFFECT OF CIRC TECHNIQUE FACILITATED WITH FANFICTION TOWARDS EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS' WRITING COMPETENCY AT SMP NEGERI 2 BANJARANGKAN IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental yang menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan Teknik CIRC difasilitasi dengan fanfiction terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa kelas delapan di SMP Negeri 2 Banjarangkan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah dua kelas di kelas delapan yang telah dipilih secara acak dan setiap kelas terdiri dari 30 siswa, kelas VIII C sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelompok kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Durukan (2010) dan Thomas (2011) sebagai landasan teori. Proses analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Dari hasil analisis statistik deskriptif, siswa diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik CIRC Difasilitasi dengan fanfiction memiliki kompetensi yang lebih baik daripada mereka yang diajarkan oleh Konvensional Strategi Menulis. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil post-test mereka. Analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata dari kelompok eksperimen 85,13 lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol 77,97. Dari analisis inferensial dapat dilihat bahwa nilai signifikan tobs (sig. (2-tailed)) adalah 0,000. Karena 0,000 <0,05, hipotesis nol ditolak. Ini berarti bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan teknik CIRC difasilitasi dengan fanfiction dan siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik konvensional.Kata Kunci : tehnik CIRC, Fanfiction, Kompetensi Menulis
This study was a post-test only experimental research which was aimed to investigate whether or not CIRC technique facilitated with Fanfiction gives any significant effects on eighth grade students’ writing competency at SMP Negeri 2 Banjarangkan academic year 2015/2016. The instrument of this research already evaluated by the expert judges and tried out the in order to check the validity and reliability. The data analysis of this study was conducted descriptively and inferentially. From the result of descriptive statistic analysis, the students were taught by using CIRC Technique Facilitated with Fanfiction had better influenced than those who taught by Conventional Writing Strategy. It was proven by the result of their post-test. The descriptive analysis shows that the mean score of experimental group 85.13 was higher than the control group 77.97. From the inferential analysis it can be seen that that the significant value of tobs (sig. (2-tailed)) was .000. Because of .000 < .05, the null hypothesis was rejected. It meant that there is a significant effect between students who taught by using CIRC Technique facilitated with Fanfiction and the students who were taught by using the conventional technique.
