AN ANALYSIS OF COMMISSIVE ACTS AMONG THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMKN 1 SINGARAJA

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis: 1) tindak tutur commissive yang digunakan oleh siswa kelas sepuluh di SMKN 1 Singaraja dalam hal struktur sintaksis dan pilihan kata, 2) Gaya bertutur yang digunakan oleh kelas sepuluh di SMKN 1 Singaraja dalam hal resmi – tidak resmi. Bentu penelitian ini adalah qualitative. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas sepuluh Usaha Perjalanan Wisata C, yang terdiri dari 21 perempuan dan 21 laki - laki. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan prosedur elicitasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) tindak tutur commissive yang digunakan adalah a) menyetujui, b) menjanjikan, c) mengundang, d) menawarkan, e) berjanji, f) bersumpah; 2) gaya tutur yang dipergunakan antara lain a) resmi, b) tidak resmi.

This research analyzed: 1) the commissive acts as they were used by tenth grade students of SMKN 1 Singaraja in terms of syntactical structure and lexical choise, 2) the speech style applied by the tenth grade students of SMKN 1 Singaraja in terms of formal – informal. The research design was qualitative. The subjects were the tenth grade students of X Usaha Perjalanan Wisata C class, consisting of 21 female and 21 male students. The data were collected through an elicitation technique. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively. The results were showed in the following order: 1) the commissive acts used are a) agreeing, b) guaranteeing, c) inviting, d) offering, e) promising, f) swearing; 2) the speech style applied namely a) formal, b) informal.
