AN ANALYSIS OF CODES USED BY THE BALINESE FAMILIES OF NUSASARI VILLAGE, MELAYA, JEMBRANA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kode yang digunakan dan bagaimana kode yang digunakan oleh keluarga Bali di desa Nusasari. Data dikumpulkan dalam tiga domain dari penggunaan bahasa. Domain penggunaan bahasa dalam penelitian ini adalah keluarga, lingkungan, dan persahabatan. Peneliti mewawancarai 2 keluarga untuk mendapatkan data tentang kode yang digunakan di desa. Para peserta ditanya tentang apa bahasa berbicara mereka didasarkan pada tiga domain dari penggunaan bahasa. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dilakukan oleh peneliti untuk mendapatkan data yang diperlukan. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah trancribed dan dianalisis. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan alat perekam dan beberapa instrumen juga disiapkan, seperti catatan lapangan dan kamera. Dalam tiga domain yang dianalisis, mereka menggunakan kode yang sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada dua kode yang digunakan di desa. Kedua kode yang bahasa Bali dan Bahasa Indonesia. Keunikan Bahasa Bali di Nusa Penida dialek terjadi di beberapa kata dalam pengucapan seperti; [Məhʌnʌʔ], [pəsɛlɛh], [oŋkʌbʌn], [ʌnonə], [bʌbuʌnʌn], [gələŋʌn], [wʌrʌsʌn], [jʌpə], [jʊlon], [bʌŋkag], [ŋrəbes], [Kʌuʔ], dan [ əndok] . Alih kode dan campur kode juga digunakan oleh penduduk desa dalam percakapan sehari-hari.Kata Kunci : campur kode, alih kode, penggunaan kode, domain penggunaan kode
This qualitative study aimed to analyze codes used and how the codes were used by the Balinese families in Nusasari village. The data were collected in three domains of language use. The domains of language use in this research were family, neighborhood, and frienship. The researcher interviewed 2 families to get the data about codes used in the village. The participants were asked about what language they speak based on the three domains of language use. Observation, interview, and documentation were done by the researcher to get the data needed. The data gathered were trancribed and analyzed. The data were collected by interview and recorder tool and some instruments also prepared, such as field note and camera. In the three domains that were analyzed, they were used the same codes. The results showed that there two codes used in the village. Those two codes were Balinese language and Bahasa Indonesia. The uniqueness of Balinese language in Nusa Penida dialect occurred in several words in term of utterance such; [məhʌnʌʔ], [pəsɛlɛh], [oŋkʌbʌn], [ʌnonə], [bʌbuʌnʌn], [gələŋʌn], [wʌrʌsʌn], [jʌpə], [jʊlon], [bʌŋkag], [ŋrəbes], [Kʌuʔ], and [əndok].Code switching and code mixing are also used by the villagers in their daily conversation.
