PEMENUHAN HAK LAYANAN KESEHATAN DAN GIZI PADA LANSIA DI LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN
Abstract
The health services provided to elderly convicts are inadequate, because the facilities in prisons are designed for adult convicts. This study aims to examine the implementation of the fulfillment of the right to health and nutrition services for the elderly in correctional institutions. This type of research is empirical juridical using descriptive qualitative methods. In this research method, data is obtained through the field observation stage as well as taking field data and other documents that support the writing process. The data obtained by the author will go through the data analysis stage. This descriptive research is able to describe and explain the provision of health and nutrition services as a form of rights obtained by elderly prisoners. The research results showed that efforts to fulfill the rights to health and nutrition services for the elderly in Indonesian correctional institutions have been implemented according to health standards by providing facilities that comply with health standards, and there are health workers and doctors who can assist in the process of fulfilling health services in correctional institutions. However, food service in correctional institutions does not meet the criteria where the taste and portions of the food provided are considered inadequate for elderly prisoners. However, prison officers still guarantee food hygiene and food hygiene. The conclusion of the research is that the fulfillment of the rights to health and nutrition services for the elderly in Indonesian correctional institutions has been implemented according to health standards, however food service in correctional institutions has not met the criteria in terms of taste and food portions.
