PENERAPAN METODE BERMAIN BERBANTUAN MEDIA GELOMBANG PINTAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam mengenal bentuk, warna dan bilangan pada anak kelompok B semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 di TK Widya Kumara Banjar Jawa Singaraja, Kecamatan Buleleng, Kabupaten Buleleng setelah diterapkan metode bermain berbantuan media gelombang pintar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan subjek sebanyak 15 orang anak kelompok B semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 di TK Widya Kumara Banjar Jawa Singaraja, Kecamatan Buleleng, Kabupaten Buleleng. Data penelitian tentang perkembangan kognitif dalam mengenal bentuk, warna dan bilangan dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dengan instrument berupa lembar format observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam mengenal bentuk, warna dan bilangan dengan penerapan metode bermain berbantuan media gelombang pintar pada siklus I sebesar 70% yang berada pada kategori sedang ternyata mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 86,68% yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Jadi, terjadi peningkatan perkembangan kognitif pada anak sebesar 16,68%.Kata Kunci : bermain, gelombang pintar, perkembangan kognitif
This research aimed at knowing the cognitive development in recognizing colors, shapes and numbers of group B students, second semester of TK Widya Kumara Banjar Jawa Singaraja, district of Buleleng, Buleleng regency, in academic year 2013/2014, after the playing method using “Gelombang Pintar” media being applied. This research is a classroom action research which is conducted in two cycles and the subject were 15 students of group B, second semester of TK Widya Kumara Banjar Jawa Singaraja, district of Buleleng, Buleleng regency, in academic year 2013/2014. Research data about cognitive development in recognizing colors, shapes and numbers was obtained through observation method by using observation sheet instrument. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistic and descriptive quantitative analysis. The result of analyzed data shows the increase of cognitive development in recognizing colors, shapes and numbers by applying playing method using “Gelombang Pintar” media in cycle I of 70%, categorized as moderate; in cycle II increase into 86.68%, categorized as high. So, there is an increase of students’ cognitive development of 16.68%.
