Teacher’s Ability in Preparing Lesson Plans for English As A Foreign Language During The Pandemic in The Senior High School

Abstract


The present research studied the teacher’s ability in preparing lesson plans for EFL through Google Classroom, and teacher’s constraints in preparing lesson plans for EFL through Google Classroom, as well as the students’ constraints in learning English as a foreign language (EFL) through Google Classroom during the pandemic Covid-19 in the SMAN 1 Singaraja. The research subject were one EFL teacher and tenth-grade students in the SMAN 1 Singaraja in the academic year 2020/2021. The design implemented was a Mixed Method. Data were collected by means of three instruments. Prior to data collection, the three instruments were validated and tried out empirically. Data were analyzed descriptively. The research findings show that the teacher ability was still lacking in preparing lesson plans for EFL through Google Classroom. Moreover, the EFL students also found constrains in learning English as a foreign language (EFL) through Google Classroom.
