PENGEMBANGAN MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS UNTUK SISWA KELAS VIII SMP

Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam upaya mengembangkan multimedia interaktif untuk siswa SMP. Secara operasional tujuan tersebut dirinci ke dalam tiga tahapan kerja yang berkaitan, yaitu mendeskripsikan rancang bangun multimedia interaktif pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris; mendeskripsikan kualitas hasil pengembangan multimedia interaktif pada mata pelajaran bahasa inggris untuk siswa SMP; dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas penggunaan multimedia interaktif pada mata pelajaran bahasa inggris untuk siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan, dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas VIII-G dan VIII-H SMP Negeri 5 Singaraja. Data kevalidan uji ahli media, ahli isi, ahli desain, uji perorangan, uji kelompok kecil dan uji lapangan diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket. Data yang diperoleh tersebut dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif, analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil evaluasi ahli isi sebesar 78% berada pada kualifikasi baik. Hasil evaluasi ahli media sebesar 90% berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik. Hasil evaluasi ahli desain sebesar 94% berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik. Hasil uji perorangan sebesar 94,9 % berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik. Hasil uji kelompok kecil sebesar 93,2% berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik. Hasil uji lapangan sebesar 84,97% berada pada kualifikasi baik. Penghitungan hasil belajar secara manual diperoleh hasil t hitung sebesar 13,85. Harga t tabel taraf signifikansi 5% adalah 2,000. Jadi harga t hitung lebih besar daripada harga t tabel sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar bahasa inggris siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan multimedia interaktif. Nilai rata-rata setelah menggunakan media (85,83) lebih tinggi dibandingkan sebelum menggunakan media (55,67).Kata Kunci : multimedia interaktif, bahasa inggris, dan hasil belajar
This research was conducted in order to develop instructional interactive multimedia for junior high school student. Operationally, the aims were compressed in three related stages, which were: to design the blueprint, to describe the quality, and to describe the effectiveness of instructional interactive multimedia of English for junior high school student. This research used Research and Development method, with ADDIE model. The research involved students of class VIII-G and VIII-H of SMP Negeri 5 Singaraja. Expert judgments (media, instructional content, and design), one-to-one, small group and field testing was held by using questionnaire to validate the data. Those data were analyzed by using qualitative descriptive, quantitative descriptive and inferential statistic techniques. Instructional content expert evaluation is 78% indicate good qualification. Media expert evaluation is 90% indicate very good qualification. Design expert evaluation is 94% indicate very good qualification. One-to-one testing is 94.9% indicated very good qualification. Small group testing was 93.2% indicated very good qualification. Field testing is 91.3% indicate very good qualification. Learning outcome that was calculate manually obtains number of tcount 13.85. Value of ttable 5% significance is 2.000. Therefore tcount is higher than ttable. It can be conclud that H0 is refused and H1 was accepted. So, there were significant differences between of English learning outcomes before and after using interactive multimedia. Mean score after usage of media (85,83) is higher than before (55,67).
