PENGARUH MODEL TAKE AND GIVE BERBANTUAN MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa yang disebabkan oleh cara mengajar guru yang masih konvensional, oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan 1) mendeskripsi hasil belajar IPS siswa kelompok eksperimen yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Take and Give berbantuan multimedia interaktif, 2) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelompok kontrol yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional, 3) mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPS antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Take and Give berbantuan multimedia interaktif dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Randomize Subjects Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII berjumlah 555 orang dengan sampel kelas VII.13 dan VII.14.Data yang dikumpulkan adalah hasil belajar siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes objektif. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) hasil belajar IPS siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Take and Give berbantuan multimedia interaktif menunjukkan skor rata-rata 24,61 berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, (2) hasil belajar IPS siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional menunjukkan skor rata-rata 16,28 berada pada kategori sedang, (3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPS antara kelompok siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Take and Give berbantuan multimedia interaktif dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional (thitung=11,27>ttabel1,667). Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Take and Give berbantuan multimedia interaktif berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 di SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja.

The problem faced in learning IPS in SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja was lowliness of the learning outcomes which was caused by the conventional teaching technique implemented, so the present study aimed in 1) to describe the learning outcomes on IPS of students in experimental group who given cooperative learning model especially Take and Give technique combined with interactive multimedia, 2) to describe the learning outcome on IPS of control group students who given conventional technique, 3) to investigate the significant difference of the learning outcomes of IPS between students who are taught by Take and Give technique combined with interactive multimedia and Conventional technique. The study was quasy experiment with Randomize Subjects Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population was seventh grade students which included 555 students. The samples were VII.13 and VII.14 classes. The data was the learning outcomes on IPS. The instrument used was objective test. The data was analyzed with descriptive statistic and inferential statistic using t-test. The result of the study showed 1) the students’ learning outcomes on IPS who are taught by Take and Give technique combined with interactive multimedia had the mean score 24.61 which is on highest category, 2) the students’ learning outcomes on IPS who are taught by conventional technique had the mean score 16.28 which was on average category, 3) there was a significant difference on students’ learning outcomes on IPS between students who are taught by Take and Give technique combined with interactive multimedia and Conventional technique where the tobserved (11.27) was higher than tcritical value (1.667). It can be concluded that Take and Give technique combined with interactive multimedia had significant effect on students’ learning outcomes on IPS of seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in academic year 2014/2015.
