PENGEMBANGAN E-LEARNING BERBASIS MOODLE PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS KELAS VIII DI SMPN 1 SELEMADEG

Abstract


Permasalahan yang ditemukan di SMPN 1 Selemadeg adalah belum optimal penyerapan materi IPS oleh siswa kelas VIII dan kurangnya pemanfaatan fasilitas wifi di sekolah, sehingga dilakukan penelitian pengembangan produk e-learning moodle. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan desain pengembangan produk, (2) mendeskripsikan kualitas hasil pengembangan produk, dan (3) mendeskripsikan efektivitas produk pada mata pelajaran IPS. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan 4D. Model ini dijadikan acuan dalam memproduksi, memvalidasi dan menguji efektivitas. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode pencatatan dokumen, kuesioner dan metode tes dengan instrumen lembar pencatatan dokumen, kuesioner dan tes objektif. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif, kuantitatif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) desain pengembangan produk sudah sesuai tahapan model pengembangan 4D, (2) kualitas hasil pengembangan produk sudah diuji cobakan ke para ahli dan siswa. a) Ahli isi mata pelajaran menyatakan isi produk berkategori sangat baik, dengan persentase 92%, b) ahli media pembelajaran menyatakan media berkategori baik, dengan persentase 88%, c) ahli desain pembelajaran menyatakan desain produk berkategori sangat baik, dengan persentase 90,66%, dan d) uji coba perorangan, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba lapangan menyatakan produk berkategori sangat baik, dengan persentase uji coba perorangan 92%, uji coba kelompok kecil 93% dan uji coba lapangan 90,2%. (3) efektivitas pengembangan e-learning berbasis moodle menunjukan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan e-learning berbasis moodle (thitung= 9,633 > ttabel= 2,000). Produk e-learning moodle sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Selemadeg.

Problems found in SMPN 1 Selemadeg were the absorption of IPS material by eighth grade students are not optimum yet and the lack of utilization of wifi facility in school, so the research development of e-learning moodle product was conducted. This research has aims at (1) describing the design of product development, (2) describing the quality of product development, and (3) describing the effectiveness of the product in social studies. Model development used was 4D development model. This model was used as a guidliness in producing, validating and testing the effectiveness. Data collected were done through recording documents method, questionnaires and test methods with instruments recording sheet documents, questionnaires and objective tests. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis qualitative, quantitative and inferential statistics. The results of this study were (1) the design development of product had been suitable with 4D development model, (2) the quality of product development had been tried out to experts and students. a) According to the expert of content subject, he stated that the content of product was categorized as very good (92%). b) the expert of instructional media stated that the media was categorized as good (88%), c) the expert of instructional design stated that design product was categorized as very good (90.66%), and also d) individual testing, small group testing, and class testing are revealed that the product was categorized as very good. individual testing (92 %), small group testing (93%), and class testing (90.2%). (3) the effectiveness of the development of Moodle-based e-learning showed that there was significant differences in the results of eighth grade social studies before and after using Moodle-based e-learning (tcount= 9,633 > ttabel= 2,000). E-learning moodle product is very effective in increasing students’ learning outcomes class VIII SMPN 1 Selemadeg.
