Peer Review Process
Our journal, Lingua Scientia, follows a thorough and rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality and validity of published articles. Here is an overview of the steps involved in our single-blind peer-review process:
-
Manuscript Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts for consideration through our online submission system.
-
Manuscript Check and Selection: Our journal managers and editors review the submitted manuscripts. They assess the manuscript's suitability for publication based on the journal's scope and guidelines. At this stage, editors have the authority to accept, reject, or send the manuscript for further review. Additionally, a plagiarism check using Turnitin is conducted for each manuscript to ensure originality.
-
Manuscript Reviewing Process: The selected manuscripts undergo a thorough review process. Two highly qualified reviewers, chosen from our pool of experts in the relevant field, evaluate the manuscript. The peer reviewers provide valuable feedback, comments, and recommendations for improvement.
-
Notification of Manuscript Acceptance, Revision, or Rejection: Based on the reviewers' comments, the editor communicates the decision to the author. The decision may include acceptance, revision with specific suggestions for improvement, or rejection. Constructive feedback from the reviewers helps authors enhance their work.
-
Paper Revision: If revisions are requested, the authors are given an opportunity to address the reviewers' comments and suggestions. The authors revise their manuscript accordingly, taking into account the feedback provided.
-
Revision Submission based on Reviewer Suggestions: Once the revisions are completed, the authors resubmit the revised manuscript, following a similar flow as the initial submission.
-
Reviewer Satisfaction and Acceptance Notification: The revised manuscript undergoes another round of review by the same or different reviewers. If the reviewers are satisfied with the revisions and consider the manuscript suitable for publication, the editor notifies the author of the acceptance decision.
-
Galley Proof and Publishing Process: After the manuscript is accepted, the authors work with our editorial team to finalize the galley proof, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Once the galley proof is approved, the article goes through the publishing process, and the final version is made available to the readers.
By adhering to this comprehensive peer-review process, we aim to maintain high standards of scholarly research and ensure the credibility and integrity of the articles published in Lingua Scientia.
