PENERAPAN METODE PEMBERIAN TUGAS BERBANTUAN MEDIA KARTU ANGKA BERGAMBAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK USIA DINI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan perkembangan kognitif anak dalam pengenalan lambang bilangan kelompok B1 di TK Trisula, Kecamatan Buleleng, Kabupaten Buleleng pada semester II tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 setelah menerapkan metode pemberian tugas berbantuan media kartu angka bergambar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah 13 pada anak kelompok B1 semester II tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di TK Trisula. Data tentang perkembangan kognitif anak dalam pengenalan lambang bilangan kelompok B1 dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan metode observasi dengan instrument berupa lembar observasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan perkembangan kognitif anak dalam pengenalan lambang bilangan kelompok B1 dengan media kartu angka bergambar pada siklus I sebesar : 56,50% berada pada kriteria rendah dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi sebesar 81,50% berada pada kriteria tinggi. Peningkatan perkembangan kognitif berbantuan media kartu angka bergambar dari siklus I sampai siklus II sebesar 25%.Kata Kunci : Metode pemberian tugas, media kartu angka bergambar perkembangan kognitif.
The present study was aimed to find out the improvement of second semester B1 students’ cognitive skill in recognizing numbers on the academic years 2013/2014 at Trisula kindergarten in Buleleng district, Buleleng regency after implementing the task giving method assisted with picturial numbers flash card. This study was a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. There were 13 second semester B1 students’ cognitive skill ability on the academic years 2013/2014 at Trisula kindergarten as the subject of the research. The data which was about the B1 students’ cognitive skill in recognizing numbers was obtained through observation by using observation sheets. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative analysis method. The result of the data analysis showed a significant improvement to the students’ cognitive development after the implementation of task giving method assisted with picturial numbers flash card. The first cycle which was 56.60% and categorized as low criteria improved into 81.50 % in the second cycle which was categorized as high criteria. Thus, the improvement from first cycle to the second cycle was 25%.
