PENGARUH PROFITABILITAS DAN LEVERAGE SERTA OPERATING CAPACITY TERHADAP FINANCIAL DISTRESS

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh temuan eksplanatif yang teruji tentang pengaruh (1) profitabilitas, leverage dan operating capacity secara simultan terhadap financial distress, dan (2) pengaruh profitabilitas, leverage dan operating capacity secara parsial terhadap financial distress pada Sektor Industri Dasar dan Kimia. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif kausal. Subjek penelitian yaitu Perusahaan Sektor Industri Dasar dan Kimia, dan objek penelitian yaitu profitabilitas, leverage, operating capacity dan financial distress. Metode pengumpulan data dengan pencatatan dokumen, dan dianalisis dengan analisis regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada pengaruh dari profitabilitas, leverage dan operating capacity secara simultan terhadap financial distress pada Perusahaan Sektor Industri Dasar dan Kimia dan (2) ada pengaruh negatif signifikan dari Profitabilitas secara parsial terhadap financial distress (3) tidak ada pengaruh leverage secara parsial terhadap financial distress (4) operating capacity berpengaruh secara negatif signifikan terhadap Financial Distress pada Sektor Industri Dasar dan Kimia yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia.

The purpose of this research to test explanative findings about the effects of (1) profitability, leverage, and operating capacity simultaneously forward financial distress,(2) profitability forward financial distress, (3) leverage forward financial distress, (4) operating capacity forward financial distress in Basic Industry and Chemistry Sector. The research design used was quantitative causal. The subject of research were Basic Industry and Chemistry Sector, and the object of this research were profitabilty, leverage,operating capacity, and financial distress. The data was obtained by documentation technique, and it’s analyzed by logistic regression. The result of this research shows that (1) profitability, leverage, and operating capacity had significant effect to the financial distress in Basic Industry and Chemistry Sector, (2) profitability had negative significant effect to the financial distress, (3) leverage had no effect to the financial distress, (4) operating capacity had negative significant effect to the financial distress in Basic Industry and Chemistry Sector which is listed on the Indonesia Stock exchange.
