JOURNAL ACCREDITATION
Open Access Policy
Bisma The Journal of Counseling is committed to the principles of open access, promoting the widespread dissemination of scientific knowledge. Since our inception in 2017, we have provided full open access to all articles published in the journal. This policy outlines our approach to open access publication and our commitment to ensuring free and unrestricted access to the articles, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the academic community.
Open Access Model
Bisma follows the gold open access model, where all articles published in the journal are freely accessible to readers without subscription or payment barriers. Authors retain copyright over their articles, and we apply the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0) to protect authors' rights while allowing for the sharing and adaptation of content. Under this license, users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. Users may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses their use. If users remix, transform, or build upon the material, they must distribute their contributions under the same license as the original. Additionally, no legal terms or technological measures may be applied that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Author Responsibilities
Authors submitting manuscripts to Bisma The Journal of Counseling agree to publish their work under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Authors have the freedom to share and redistribute their work in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercial use. Additionally, they can adapt, modify, and build upon their material for various purposes, also permitting commercial applications. Authors must ensure that their contributions are shared under the same license as the original work, fostering an environment of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
Bisma is committed to keeping open access publishing affordable and sustainable. The APC, payable when only due once the author knows the manuscript is accepted by the editorial team and ready for publication. The APC is charged to either you or your funder, institution or employer. Authors can request that the invoice be sent to their institution or funder. We are also committed to providing free services for authors from low-income countries or those facing financial constraints, ensuring inclusivity and fair access to open knowledge.
